SCHEDULE (by series) SCHEDULE (by date) |
" riveting, often haunting echoing in mood and style Roman Polanskis masterpieces REPULSION and ROSEMARYS BABY " Emanuel Levy, VARIETY "A dynamite movie, smart and pungently satirical." Kevin Thomas, LA TIMES "Dogma 95 and THE CELEBRATION finally have their first American Challenger: a searing character drama shot entirely on digital video that leaves you emotionally spent. Mitchell is nothing short of a revelation." Paul Cullum, LA WEEKLY " visually accomplished and emotionally provocative " -- Duane Byrge, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER (2000, American Cinematheque Presents /Vitagraph Films, 87 min., USA): Angie (Radha Mitchell, HIGH ART, PHONE BOOTH) in an unflinchingly honest performance) and Russ (Justin Louis), a young, well-off, loving, suburban couple, eagerly await the birth of their first child. Angies friends (Catherine Lloyd Burns of "Malcolm in the Middle" and Megan Mullally of "Will and Grace") are also pregnant and together their worlds revolve around babies, husbands and the rituals of family life. Suddenly tragedy befalls Angie and Russ. Unable to find a way to console, or share the couples grief, their friends simply withdraw and Angies grief drives her to act out in strange and frightening ways. Like Todd Haynes SAFE, EVERYTHING PUT TOGETHER is a provocative portrait of an alienated woman adrift in a hostile, suffocating suburban environment, that once offered a bounty of security and comfort. Director Mark Forsters latest film, MONSTERS BALL, starring Billy Bob Thornton, Wes Bentley and Halle Berry, is slated for release by Lions Gate in December. Shot on Digital Video, the film will be projected in a 35mm print. Produced by Sean Furst. Written by Forster, Catherine Lloyd Burns and Adam Forgash. www.everythingputtogether.com *Director Marc Forster & Producer Sean Furst will appear for discussion following the 7:30 PM screening and will introduce the 9:30 PM screening on Monday, November 19th.
