Gillian Anderson recalled watching THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS before her audition for the "X-Files," because the character of Scully was described as an Agent Starling type -- the character Jodie played in SILENCE. She then introduced a clip from an episode of the "X-Files" which features a talking tattoo -- voiced by Ms. Foster! SILENCE OF THE LAMBS director Jonathan Demme introduced a take from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS that was interupted by a pager going off. He was impressed that both Foster and Hopkins maintained their concentration during this tense exchange during their first meeting in Hannibal's cell.

Lowe appeared with Foster in the Tony Richardson directed, THE HOTEL NEW HAMPSHIRE in 1984. Manheim recalled that Jodie had come up to her at the Emmy Awards (where Manheim won a Best Supporting Actress Emmy for her work on "The Practice") and said, "My mother will never forgive me if I don't get my picture taken with you." Now Manheim said she wanted an opportunity to get a picture of the two of them together for her mother.
