Volunteer Spotlight: Lee Christian

LeeChristian.jpg (14602 bytes)

I’m playing my own small role in keeping film history alive and well in Los Angeles. That’s what I see as the role of a volunteer of The American Cinematheque. As a volunteer, I’m usually either taking pictures at an event and/or preparing to write up a piece to promote the current event retrospectively and – in the process – promote The Cinematheque itself proactively. How many people get to have fun playing photographer and journalist in the midst of such company?

A few hours of my time doesn’t even compare to the contribution that The American Cinematheque makes to film history. From exhilarating moments with Farley Granger discussing STRANGERS ON A TRAIN to the latest documentary; from the foreign film festivals to the rare exploitation and horror film screenings, The American Cinematheque is defined by our collective love of all things film!
