FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hollywood, CA - October 3, 2000 -
The American
Cinematheque (www.americancinematheque.com) is pleased to announce that it
has formed a Strategic Relationship Committee to foster strategic corporate
relationships with the business community and consumer brands. The
Cinematheque has formed a relationship with Cahoots?, Inc.
(www.cahoots.com) to foster the continued growth and development of the
Cinematheque's programs and audience. Cahoots, described by Forbes
magazine
as "humanizing" the Web through its live voice and text
communications
network, is also the sponsor of the FOREVER HOLLYWOOD companion book
launching this Fall as a companion to the Cinematheque produced film,
FOREVER HOLLYWOOD.
FOREVER HOLLYWOOD is a celebration of a century of movie making as
related
by some of today's biggest stars and filmmakers. The FOREVER
HOLLYWOOD
keepsake publication will be sold exclusively at The EgyptianTheatre, the
permanent home of the American Cinematheque. Since its grand
re-opening in
December of 1998, The Egyptian has become a popular destination for
residents and visitors alike to enjoy the Cinematheque's unique film
programs and events in a setting combining state-of-the-art exhibition
technology and the beauty and historic significance of Hollywood's past.
"The Cinematheque is uniquely positioned to forge strategic
relationships
with vibrant companies who can derive substantial corporate benefits from
partnering with us in our philanthropic mission of supporting film in
all
of its forms," comments Anne Keshen, a member of the Cinematheque
Board of
Directors and Chair of The Strategic Relationship Committee.
"The Strategic
Relationship Committee's mandate is to develop corporate relationships that
will not only support our cultural missives, but will also provide our
partners with targeted exposure to the broad based appeal of entertainment
through our unique film programs and events, The Moving Picture Ball, our
web site and film calendar. The Egyptian Theatre is a unique and
historic
venue for film programs, events and premieres and provides substantial
benefits to our corporate relationships, as it is a visitor destination for
both Los Angeles residents and the 9 million annual visitors to
Hollywood."
"Cahoots is all about facilitating the interaction of people around
topics
that are meaningful. The programs we are sponsoring at the American
Cinematheque allows us to extend this mission to the global audience of
film
lovers, who are able to connect around the celebration of film, all within
a
cultural environment," comments Jon Holtzman, Cahoot's Vice President
of
Brand Marketing.
