What:
The American Cinematheque will hold a press conference on the occasion of the film series RECENT SPANISH CINEMA (February 24 March 12). Series guests will be introduced and will answer questions from the press. *One on one interviews are available following. Arrangements can be made on site.
When: Friday, February 23, 2001. 10:00 AM Press Conference followed by *one on one interviews.
Where: Egyptian Theatre, Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre (access from Main Lobby).

Film Series: RECENT SPANISH CINEMA features 16 new films from Spain; a 7-film Ventura Pons retrospective, a Women in Spanish Cinema showcase and panel discussion; and an evening of short films. The event is an American Cinematheque presentation in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture & Sports (ICAA), Spanish Society of Authors, Composers & Publishers (SGAE), Fundación Autor, Instituto de la Mujer, ICEX (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade), Directors Guild of America and Writers Guild of America West. Ticket Policy: Screening copies of the films are available to press in our office in advance. Journalists who must attend public screenings, should note that we can only issue one press ticket per film, per media outlet. To request a press ticket, please send a fax with the titles of the films you need to review to: Margot Gerber at 323.461.9737. Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the screening you wish to attend. Friday at 10:00 AM is the cut-off time for Saturday and Sunday screenings.
