ABOUT THE EVENT: We’re back for another edition of Film Girlz Fest! Join the American Cinematheque and Film Girlz Brunch for a year-end showcase of women-made and led projects from local filmmakers. Film Girlz Brunch is a community for femme folks in the film industry in Los Angeles. ABOUT THE FILMS: “Papochka,” Dir. Lada Egorova, 18 Mins Dounia, a young woman who travels to Russia to bid a final farewell to her sick father, arrives to find her stepmother informing her that it’s too late, yet she stays for the funeral and discovers she has a half-brother.
