From Searchlight Pictures, FLAMIN’ HOT follows the inspiring true story of Richard Montañez, who, as a Frito Lay janitor, disrupted the food industry by channeling his Mexican heritage and the flavors of his community to turn Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Eva Longoria and produced by DeVon Franklin, FLAMIN’ HOT features a stellar cast including Jesse Garcia, Annie Gonzalez, Emilio Rivera, Dennis Haysbert, Tony Shalhoub, Matt Walsh, Bobby Soto, and Pepe Serna. The film is written by Lewis Colick and Linda Yvette Chávez.
Among the accolades Longoria and the film has received thus far include Variety’s “10 Directors To Watch, ” the BreakThrough Director Award (Film) at Celebration of Cinema & Television and Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best Actor for Jesse Garcia at the 38th Imagen Awards.
