ABOUT THE FILM: In Portuguese with English subtitles. In the final chapter of Monteiro’s João de Deus trilogy, his alter ego receives an envoy from God in military clothes, who make him a millionaire. Expelled from society due to his crimes, João de Deus goes from rags to riches and finds a natural home for his hedonism in a new palace and revamped social status.
