This family favorite follows six-year-old Josephine, whose boredom evaporates when she meets Hugo, a carefree boy who would rather walk in the forest than go to school; together with a gardener, they make up fun things to do. The delightful summertime adventure won the Best Director prize at Sweden’s Guldbagge Awards in 1968 and the San Sebastian Film Festival’s Best First Film for that year.
