ABOUT THE FILM: In Polish with English subtitles. Andrzej Żuławski’s 1988 sci-fi epic follows a group of wayward astronauts who attempt to rebuild society on a new planet after fleeing Earth. As the generations progress, a video diary sent by one of the concerned founders makes its way back home, prompting the arrival of a scientist on the planet whom the inhabitants regard as a messiah.
