ABOUT THE SERIES: The American Cinematheque is thrilled to welcome filmmaker Alexandre Koberidze for an in-person retrospective celebrating his newest film, DRY LEAF. Among the most exciting voices in contemporary Georgian cinema, Koberidze’s work challenges the formal conventions of film through his use of narrators who never appear onscreen and deliberately low-resolution photography, playing with distanciation and nostalgia to tell tender, fablesque stories deeply rooted in Georgia’s landscape.
