ABOUT THE SERIES: The American Cinematheque is thrilled to welcome acclaimed filmmaker Joseph Kosinski for a screening of F1, followed by an in-person Q&A. Building on a legacy of immersion and technical innovation, Kosinski brings his trademark approach of visceral spectacle and profoundly human storytelling to the world’s most elite motorsport, capturing the speed, precision and danger of Formula 1. In celebration of his latest work, we’ll also present a companion series of the films that inspired F1, tracing the evolution of motorsport on screen through landmark works including GRAND PRIX and LE MANS that helped set the stage for Kosinski’s vision.
