ABOUT THE FILM: In the second early exploitation feature from superlative film artist Jonathan Demme, Cloris Leachman stars as Melba Stokes, a middle-aged woman who runs a California beauty parlor with her mother Sheba (Ann Sothern) and teenage daughter Cheryl (Linda Purl).
