ABOUT THE EVENT: Silverlake Scream Show is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to championing bold new voices in horror and cultivating a passionate, engaged fan community. First Bite is a screening series focused on debut horror features, pairing each film with a candid Q&A about what it actually takes to get a first feature made. The series is designed to demystify the process, creating a filmmaker-first conversation around everything from financing and production to festivals and distribution. ABOUT THE FILM: Traveling to Detroit for a job interview, a young woman books a rental home. But when she arrives late at night, she discovers that the house is double booked and a strange man is already staying there.
