The American Cinematheque is thrilled to welcome in acclaimed filmmaker Maryam Keshavarz for a screening of two of her Sundance award-winning films, THE PERSIAN VERSION and CIRCUMSTANCE. A female filmmaker of Iranian descent, Keshavarz is the first director to have two films win the Sundance Audience Award in the Dramatic Competition category. In her work, Maryam is passionate about breaking through divides and showcasing the joy and beauty of her community. Join us in celebrating the work of a talented filmmaker, mentor, and visionary.
