Join the American Cinematheque as we journey through the landscape of Ethan Coen’s and Tricia Cooke’s audacious minds with an advance screening of their latest comedy caper, DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS.

To toast the film’s influences – hand picked by the filmmakers themselves – the American Cinematheque will screen Robert Aldrich’s paranoid noir, KISS ME DEADLY (“the ne plus ultra of mysterious-package movies – all action, all kissing, all punching,” Coen and Cooke tell us); and Paul Mazursky’s pivotal New Hollywood sex satire, BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE, in which, according to Coen and Cooke, “Elliot Gould’s underwear is a triumph.”
