ABOUT THE EVENT: The American Cinematheque is thrilled to welcome Walter Murch in-person for a masterclass, providing insight into his groundbreaking approach to immersive film editing and sound-mixing, prior to the screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s APOCALYPSE NOW, in its long-unseen original 1979 Roadshow Version. All ticket buyers will receive a free black-and-white facsimile of the original 12-page souvenir booklet. ABOUT THE FILM: American Captain Benjamin Willard (Martin Sheen) is assigned to track down and kill Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando), who has reportedly massacred hundreds of innocent people and set up his own fiefdom in the jungle.
