Before the screening of CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME?, author Kyle Turner will introduce the film in relation to his new book, The Queer Film Guide: 100 Great Movies That Tell LGBTQIA+ Stories. ABOUT THE FILM: Melissa McCarthy stars as Lee Israel, a troubled author left reeling after the critical and professional failure of her latest biography. Strapped for cash, she begins forging correspondence from dead celebrities, dodging suspicion from collectors and the authorities while her personal life spirals into isolation and alcoholism.
