When the clientele at Ray Ruby’s Paradise strip club starts to dwindle, the owner (Willem Dafoe) organizes a lottery to keep cash flowing in. Abel Ferrara’s underground comedy, loosely based on John Cassavetes’ THE KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE, revolves around a wacky cast of characters played by Bob Hoskins, Matthew Modine, Sylvia Miles, and more.
