ABOUT THE FILM ZOTZ! is a cult movie still in search of its cult; it’s a light, zany madcap allegory about NUCLEAR WARFARE. It may surprise you that a movie called ZOTZ! doesn’t totally make sense, but it’s about a college professor (Tom Poston) who discovers an amulet with mysterious, magical powers. And when word gets out, forces of evil want to take hold of it: the Russians. How timely! This is one of legendary showman/director William Castle’s lesser seen films, in fact, in the 20 years I’ve lived in Los Angeles it has NEVER SCREENED THEATRICALLY.
