Albert Pyun’s feature film debut follows Talon, a royal mercenary with a three-bladed sword seeking to avenge the destruction of his father’s kingdom and rescue the beautiful Princess Alana from the wizard Xusia’s clutches. Panned by critics upon its 1982 release, THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER quickly achieved a cult following and became the highest-grossing independent film of the year.
