In the 18th century, Ana is sent to a remote convent by her guardian to atone for her Earthly sins – but what she ends up finding there, amongst the cloistered nuns and the young woman preparing to take the Holy vows, ends up being something more sinister than she could have ever imagined: a mysterious blood disease that seems to drain its victims every night… Óscar Martín already blew our minds once with his feature debut AMIGO and he returns to do it again with an opulent, gorgeous nunsploitation film that was truly made for the big screen – lushly bathed in light and shadows like some magnificent chiaroscuro masterpiece with a sound design that truly makes the skin crawl.
