ABOUT THE FILM For years, residents of Los Angeles have been on edge waiting for “the big one” – but when the earthquake finally comes, it’s just a prelude to the real disaster – a volcano! Among the escalating perils are toxic gases in the subway lines, lava flows erupting from the La Brea Tar Pits and cracks threatening to swallow shoppers at the Beverly Center. But the City of Angeles is in good hands as Office of Emergency Management director Tommy Lee Jones and geologist Anne Heche team up to prevent an urban meltdown.
