October 23 - November 8, 2026 The Original It Girl: Four Starring Clara Bow Series | WINGS, IT, THE WILD PARTY, HER WEDDING NIGHT
ABOUT THE SERIES: The American Cinematheque is thrilled to present four films featuring the incomparable Clara Bow, the silver screen starlet whose beguiling screen presence and captivating personality earned her the starring role in Clarence G. Badger’s IT, the star vehicle that officially coined the concept of the “It Girl.” We’re proud to host the world premiere of the new 4K restoration of HER WEDDING NIGHT and a screening of the 4K restoration of THE WILD PARTY, both restorations courtesy of Universal Pictures. Our series also spotlights William A. Wellman’s war epic WINGS, which won the inaugural Academy Award for Best Picture.
